This is all over the internet today. It seems Botox is not all that.

Cant see the NHS taking it now...

I wonder about the validity of this report. It says in patients getting 17-20 headaches a month (wow, ten days without a headache sounds great), it only cut them back by two headaches a month.

But haven't people on the discussion groups reported getting much better results than that? Why would you keep using it if that's all it helped?

I agree Cathy, but in a count up I did a while ago here and on FB groups, I would estimate that most people didnt get anything other than a frozen face....

They keep going because it is a money spinner and they are told it can take 3 goes for it to work. That is a lot of dosh.

I have a lady on my FB group who swears by it, but out of 60 of us, she is the only one I think...

I think we should be allowed to have whatever helps us, we are all so different...

Well, NICE have done a turn around and passed Botox for migraine treatment.

Im still not convinced for myself. Efficacy seems less than the 50% reduction they are touting....But we shall see.

I think it's like everything else. It works for some and not for others. It did not work for me, but some people have really benefitted. So if you average out a lot of reduction for some and nothing for others, I guess that comes out to two less headaches a month. Aren't averages wonderful?
