Is it time to let the forum go?
I am not being negative, I want it to keep running, but it is hardly used any more.
I dont know what to do to improve things.
Open to suggestions...
Soon as I feel better I shall prune it all back.
But it is looking more than a little sad guys....
Me too...

Re: Is it time to let the forum go?
I'm sorry Pen.
Personally I would hate to see it go. I've been more of a lurker than a poster, but I've been absent from most of the forums I used to check into. I guess life is just getting in the way.

Re: Is it time to let the forum go?
I am happy to leave it Dan, but I check it most days and it is pretty dead. It isnt a lot of trouble to keep it going, but so sad to see it so dead all the time.
I think maybe Facebook has replaced the forums for many. Although the forum is still for some. Many dont like FB...

Re: Is it time to let the forum go?
I HATE fb and all it stands for. But I have to agree that yes, it has had an impact on forums, blogs etc.
You know, it seems that most of us check in frequently, if not daily.
Maybe if we could get to the bottom of why we're here but not talking to each other, it might help.
Even on the misc side, I find it hard to believe that none of us have stuff going on in our lives that we can chat about. On Ronda's, the misc side was always the most active.
On the migraine side, I can't speak for everyone, but maybe people feel that there's nothing new out there to talk about. *shrugs*
(Hope you are feeling better Pen.)

Re: Is it time to let the forum go?
I am having a better day thank you Witsy.
I am finished the botics, so now we wait and see.
I actually went to Aldi today, that was a treat after being in for 10 days.
Its true, there isnt much new to talk about re migraine, and I do try to post anything that comes in to me. Most of it does not get commented on.
We should boost the misc. side. It was going quite well for a while.
Lets have some more pics of us, our kids, our pets maybe.
On that subject Witsy, this one's for you.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Re: Is it time to let the forum go?
Same here as with Dan, Pen. I still lurk.
Love the "Rainbow Bridge". I don't know how many times it has helped me through losing a dear loved one.

Re: Is it time to let the forum go?
Thanks Becky. I will keep going as long as we seem to have the interest. I think building the misc. side is going to help.
I love Rainbow Bridge too.
Still struggling after losing Saf.

I know, Pen. Saf will always live in your heart. Keep those wonderful memories close.
Although I have two other dogs now, I still miss my dear departed furry babies too.

Thank you Becky. It got better, but now it is still the same. Been here before it takes a lot of time. I just cant recall life before Saf, and she was such a sweetheart.
Time is a great healer. Guess it hasnt been long enough yet....

Re: Is it time to let the forum go?
Hi Pen,
Sorry I've been away on travel for a few weeks with awful Internet connection. I am still monitoring the site along with 2 others. Not a lot to report lately. The migraines appear to be much better. I've started taking Nadolol which is a blood pressure med and the headaches have almost disappeared. Not sure I'll be able to stay on it though as I'm having problems with dizziness. But I am hopeful!
No need to give up the forum. We're out here even when we're quiet

Re: Is it time to let the forum go?
HI MG,
Glad you are finding some relief.
If you find anything of interest on the other forums, do let us know.
I think I know which ones they are, and I cant go on either, but there may be interesting things there..
As I have said to everyone, just come when you can.
